ETC Ethereum Classic in a Nutshell
2017-09-08 21:22:16 Discuss ETC or Ethereum Classic is the original Ethereum blockchain until it was decided to fork it due to the DAO hack. Which means the blockchain of Ethereum Classic has all the capabilities of Ethereum like the DApps and smart contract functionality. Ethereum Classic is mineable. It uses proof of work algorithm called Ethash which is a modified version of the algorithm Dagger-Hashimoto. It finds inputs called nonce to the algorithm in order for the result to be below a particular threshold of difficulty. P... Continue reading.

Ethereum Classic (ETC) Sees Attempted Community Takeover By Digital Finance Group (DFG)
December 23, 2018 11:14 PM Discuss There were enough problems in many different projects and Ethereum Classic (ETC) remained aside from them. However, now they are facing some problems related to the Digital Finance Group (DFG). Some Ethereum Classic owners raised concerns about an attempted community takeover by DFG. DFG is in charge of ETC Labs and one of the most active developers in the ETC network. On December 13, a community notice has been posted in GitHub informing about DFG and an attempt of taking over the original Ethereum Classic GitHub repository. The community notice addresses miners, stakeholders and ETC's fanatics and says that this may be one of the most important points in ETC's history. They even mention that this is more important than the ETH hard fork.

How to Buy Ethereum Classic (ETC) 2018 EthereumPrice
December 23, 2018 10:12 PM Discuss Ethereum Classic (ETC) came into existence during July 2016 as the result of a hard fork on the original Ethereum blockchain. The hard fork (a major software change) was introduced as a means to roll back a number of transactions made by a malicious attacker on the Ethereum network. For many, the rolling back of these transactions whether malicious or not was antithetical to the blockchain movement. These users valued immutability above all else and decided to continue on the original Ethereum chain which became known as Ethereum Classic. The new Ethereum chain, which had widespread community consensus, continued with the name Ethereum.

Robinhood announced Monday that its customers can now invest in ethereum classic (ETC), just a day before Coinbase adds the option too. Ethereum Classic (ETC) Technicals Point To Massive Growth In Upcoming Months
December 08, 2018 1:39 AM Discuss Ethereum Classic (ETC) just fell to a new yearly low in the wake of another market crash. ETC/USD has broken several supports and market structures over the past few weeks. This has happened so often that it almost makes no sense to be looking at the ETC/USD chart right now. Whenever Bitcoin (BTC) takes a fall, most cryptocurrencies have to fall even if it means breaking below a strong support. A support is only strong as long as Bitcoin (BTC) allows it to be. Let's face it, most people in this market do not believe in other coins. If Bitcoin (BTC) is going down, they are going to sell their altcoins first and Bitcoin (BTC) second.

Foxconn And Ethereum Classic (ETC): A Match Made In IOT (Internet Of Things)
December 06, 2018 7:34 PM Discuss A cryptocurrency is judged based on the number of Dapps or partnerships it has in this market. If it is a centralized cryptocurrency like Ethereum (ETH) or Ripple (XRP) their teams announce those partnerships and we hear about it. However, if it is a decentralized cryptocurrency like Ethereum Classic (ETC) there is no one to announce any partnership because nobody owns Ethereum Classic (ETC) and we have to do our own digging. How would it look if a group of developers working on Bitcoin (BTC) announce that they have partnered with Newegg or Starbucks to accept Bitcoin Now, a lot of these groups are going to work towards Bitcoin (BTC)s adoption but they are not going to sign deals on behalf of Bitcoin (BTC) like they own it. They just work on it.

Ethereum Classic vs Ethereum (ETC vs ETH): What's the difference
July 09, 2018 10:10 AM Discuss Ethereum is a fork of Ethereum Classic that reversed the results of the DAO hack. The two projects are now run by different development teams with the Ethereum Classic team and supporters believing that a blockchain should stay immutable no matter what. Ethereum Classic (ETC) is the original Ethereum blockchain and allows for the implementation of decentralized applications and smart contracts. The ETC blockchain is truly immutable and will never be altered. Yes. Ethereum Classic still has active developers, miners, and a strong group of supporters. A first look at any crypto market spreadsheet will show two different types of Ethereum, one being Ethereum (ETH) and the other being Ethereum Classic (ETC).
