A Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Knowledge Sharing Network Fairy Wallet was the first EOS wallet to support the Ledger Nano S. Now there is one more! It's from bloks.io and it has one interesting feature I really like. Multiple account(key pair) support! Now I feel safe! All my EOS accounts are now protected with Nano Ledger S. It also has some extra features that Fairy wallet currently doesn't support. You can download the Bloks Desktop from below link: http://desktop.bloks.io or https://github.com/eoscafe/bloks-desktop/releases Bloks Desktop is a EOS blockchain explorer and a wallet. You can login using scatter or Ledger Nano S. For scatter support, you have to install Scatter Desktop(currently beta) from https://get-scatter.com/. To use with Ledger Nano S, you have to have EOS app running on Ledger Nano S. You can install EOS app to your Ledger from Ledger Live desktop app. The process is identical to preparation for the Fairy wallet. This information was first found by us on January 08, 2019 9:08 PM. Important things to understand about Ledger Nano S support for EOS Trybe Important things to understand about Ledger Nano S support for EOS Trybe
A Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Knowledge Sharing Network The long awaited support for HW wallets is here for EOS. Cypherglass BP had a bounty for $100,000 to enable support for Trezor and Ledger Nano S wallets for EOS token storage and it was finally won by Fairy wallet that enabled a PC wallet to integrate Ledger Nano S support for EOS tokens. Can you store your existing keys on Ledger Nano S? While it is a great news, we want to highlight that HW wallets typically store your private keys securely and they do not expose them to external world (including you), hence the private keys have to be created fresh in HW wallets when you set them up. In case of genesis accounts or accounts already created, your private keys are already exposed. Either you kept them in paper wallets or stored them in PC. You can not burn those keys in HW wallets. Even if they allow you to do that, it defeats the purpose of HW wallets as the keys have been exposed to external world. So, you definitely need new keys and perhaps new account. If you are too attached to your account name, you will have to change owner keys which is a risky step and unless done in supervision of an expert, it can result in lose of all your tokens. Here is a video we posted to help you understand these aspects: This post was found by us on September 05, 2018 12:51 AM. Share this content on social media: See trybe.one for more similar content.
