ELI5 How to mine Litecoin
Litecoin is a top 10 ranked cryptocurrency that's been around since 2011. It was forked from the main Bitcoin source code by a developer called Charlie Lee. Bitcoin's hashing algorithm, SHA256, is too light weight and can easily be implemented in dedicated hardware called ASIC. Litecoin substitutes SHA256 for Scrypt, which is a heavier algorithm that consumes more memory in order to perform Proof of Work (PoW). The high memory consumption by Scrypt makes it more expensive to create specialized hard...

ELI5 Litecoin and Dogecoin Why were they released some time after Bitcoin
Litecoin and Dogecoin were once the #2 and #3 cryptocurrencies by market cap, respectively. In early 2014, when Dogecoin had just been released, the meme fever pumped the cryptocurrency to hundreds of millions of U$ valuation almost overnight. Both LTC and DOGE share more than one thing in common: both of them were forked off of the main Bitcoin source code tree and both use a different cryptographic hashing function than Bitcoin does. The Scrypt key derivation function is used in both these cryptocur...

Litecoin LTC - provides faster transaction confirmations (2.5 minutes on average) and uses a memory-hard, scrypt-based mining proof-of-work algorithm to target the regular computers and GPUs most people already have - which are its main differentials to Bitcoin. The Litecoin network is scheduled to produce 84 million currency units with a halving in reward every four years just like bitcoin. The coin was created by a Google employee, Charles Lee. Litecoin is in second spot to Bitcoin and has spawned numerous clones - however it has a solid base of support and dedicated development team. The Litecoin project is currently maintained by a core group of 6 software developers, led by Charles Lee, with a large community that is growing in support.

Go Hard on Litecoin (LTC) before it's too late Enjoy the dip | Oracle Times
Litecoin (LTC), after the release of the Litecoin Core v0.15.1, has been affected by the current dip that we're experiencing as much as any other coin which makes it perfect for the investors that are looking for the best timing possible to enter the market. I say this because the new release sure seems to be really positive for Litecoin (LTC), in fact this could be more exciting for Litecoin holders than LitePay, the new payment platform that would use Litecoin as the primary source for transactions, that was announced to launch on 26th of February by Charlie Lee. Even though this release is announced as a minor update to fix bugs, add new features and improve performance, we must give our respects yet again to the Litecoin Foundation for always being active in development. Litecoin (LTC) continues to be one of the cryptocurrencies with the most developer activity which is a great sign for the future.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Slips From Top 4 to Number 8 as Litecoin (LTC) Flips in Latest Crypto Plunge
The early months of 2018 turned out to be quite interesting as far as the crypto universe was concerned. For the very first time since inception, ETH (Ethereum) managed to surge above the one-thousand-dollar mark. For many crypto followers, this new development was quite interesting as it is something that many enthusiasts had not anticipated. As the ETH prices continued to surge, many crypto experts started to predict that it was only a matter of time before the platform was able to overthrow BTC (Bitcoin) as the undoubted crypto leader with regards to market capitalization. However, Litecoins founder, Charlie Lee, who happens to be an ETH skeptic, and former employee at Coinbase used his Twitter account to categorically state that this is something that would never come to fruition.

EOS, Litecoin, Stellar, Tron, Cardano Price Analysis: Early Stages of a Mega Rally
-Bitcoin news, price, information & analysis It's back to profitability for most altcoins as they register double digit gains. Leading the pack is XLM/USD and ADA/USD trading above important resistance levels. We expect most altcoins to keep expanding throughout this week as they reverse 2018 losses as price action form the foundation of a mega-rally. Let's have a look at these charts: At the back of strong gains, EOS/USD is up four percent in the last day and 12 percent in the last week. The result is clear and most importantly prices are edging higher towards the $7 buy trigger mark. But, before the $7 resistance mark is hit, today we might see the total reversal of Oct 11 losses. Once that prints, we suggest aggressive type of buyers to buy on dips with stops at the breakout lows.

Litecoin (LTC) Price Index | $ 33 | Charts, History
Many crypto projects are still receiving funding even as the crypto market ends the year lower than some experts predicted. Coinbase recently made what it claims is the biggest cryptocurrency transfer on record, moving about $5 billion. Markets are up slightly over the last few days, with some saying that prices have nearly found a bottom. One year ago today, Bitcoin hit $20,000. As a sharp rally from current levels seems unlikely investors should have a long-term horizon and not expect overnight ... A rare first in current market conditions saw Ethereum leave Bitcoin Cash behind in terms of USD price.

Litecoin News Update: Reasons Why the Value of LTC Is Expected To Skyrocket Again (Litecoin (LTC) Price Prediction 2018) | Smartereum
The first quarter of this year and the better part of the second quarter has been terrible for Litecoin. When the value of the coin started depreciating at the beginning of the year, a lot of people thought it was just a normal retracement because of the massive leap that the digital currency had made at the end of last year. This time around, the trendline of the bears went too far. Sometimes, the digital currency acts like it wants to continue a bull run only to end up making a significant decline than before. This has made coin holders to lose interest in the coin and opted to sell the coin at a loss.
