The IOTA Spam Fund was created to incentivize spamming on the IOTA protocol by rewarding spammers with a small amount of iotas (donated entirely by our great IOTA community) to cover the operational costs of doing the proof-of-work. Over 2,000 users have signed up. The IOTA Spam Fund offers a custom command-line spamming tool (isf-jclient) written in Java which can be used both for rewarded iotaspam.com spam as well as not-rewardable offline spam (allowing the user to personalize the spam transaction address, tag and messages). It is highly scalable in terms of TPS due to powerful features such as:

Global Trade & Supply Chains | IOTA IOTA Logo Global Trade & Supply Chains | IOTA IOTA Logo
January 06, 2019 11:12 PM DLTs can accelerate the integration of global trade to the benefit of consumers, producers, transporters, retails and public institutions. We don?t know where our goods are, who processed them, when or why something went wrong, or what is real or fraudulent. Co-founder Dominik Schiener talks about supply chains at the 2018 Bosch CONNECTED WORLD Global supply chains are incredibly complex, involving multiple actors from around the globe. Just consider the process from sand to the smart screen made of this sand, that retails on a corner shop in Bogota as an integrated part of a smart phone packed with numerous components sourced, produced and integrated though a global process. However, it is not the complexity of the supply chain itself but often the lack of management, transparency and monitoring that causes the most significant mishaps in global trade.

What prevents 2 people from generating same seed - Beginners - IOTA Forum What prevents 2 people from generating same seed - Beginners - IOTA Forum
January 06, 2019 11:12 PM Well, I guess it's pure math here with a very, very, very small chance of getting two identical 81 strings composed of "random" characters...but what would it happen in that scenario? How can I be sure that noone's gonna log onto my wallet by pure "luck"? There are 27^81 different seeds. Hiding your IOTA in one of these seeds is like hiding your IOTA in an electron in the universe. If you are worried about your investment, practice some diversification. Investing in IOTA is already a good start, but use multiple seeds. (insert obligatory H2G2 "space is big" quote here) Generate the seed with a good random-generator, and make sure that it contains only valid chars, and all 81 of them. If you use a 'seed' like "TESTING" e.g. you can be pretty sure that you open an already existing 'wallet'. Just try it out... You might even find a few IOTA's on that seed...

Completely lost: how to buy IOTA on Bitfinex - Beginners - IOTA Forum Completely lost: how to buy IOTA on Bitfinex - Beginners - IOTA Forum
January 06, 2019 11:11 PM Hi all, so I have a (probably) very big noob question: I've been going in circles on the internet trying to figure out how to buy (M)IOTA. I know I have to use Bitfinex to trade and need a wallet to store purchased coins if I don't want to store them in Bitfinex. But what I really cannot figure out until now is a straightforward way to buy (M)IOTA directly with USD (or even EUR if possible at all)? So to be clear I don't want to use Bitcoins. I don't have any crypto coins so really I only want to use USD or EUR. Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Much obliged. You might have to go to coinspot.com.au which is an Australian exchange. It's very small but they take US customers.

January 06, 2019 11:11 PM Can we have a web wallet for iota? I asked a questions for which usually i find an answer myself. After i read this article i found out as follows comparing Raiblock with IOTA https://hackernoon.com/iota-vs-raiblocks-413679bb4c3e IOTA has a ?Cooridinator? which is temporarly placed to secure the network untill it is scaled up eough RaiBlocks has a ?representative system? which will be there forever and it is basically an address with a lot of money. The expetise says: The only area where I see a slight issue is in that of their representative system. This is a potential attack vector IOTA has a unique feature Off-chain Transactions RaiBlocks The sender must be online to make a transaktion

Welcome Julie Maupin to IOTA IOTA Welcome Julie Maupin to IOTA IOTA
January 06, 2019 11:11 PM Julie A. Maupin began her career in the non-profit sector in the mid-1990s. Working in relief and development in Biha?, Bosnia taught her that human rights and individual economic empowerment are inextricably linked. This discovery later led her to study both law and economics and think deeply about the interconnections between the two. Raised in rural Colorado by a paramedic and a plastic-injection-molding-machinist-turned-programmer, Julie always had a natural affinity for technology. She joined Monster.com as a human capital consultant in the early 2000s and helped pioneer the use of internet-based talent acquisition methods by Fortune 500 companies in Seattle. After riding out the dot.com boom (and then bust) and growing her revenue portfolio to over $5 million in just a year and a half, Julie headed to Yale, where she obtained graduate degrees in law and economics.

January 06, 2019 11:11 PM Hey guys, im new to the forum. Just wanted the opnion on price predictions for IOTA over the next 3 years. Im going to invest around 4k over the next year in segments as i believe in the coins potential. Who doesnt want zero transaction fees and quick transfers? This coin is amazing. I really can't come with any predictions as I'm an amateur. But I do to believe this technology has the potential to become integrated in the real world more than Bitcoin is today. I am also like yourself wanting to Invest over the next few Years. I Hope Someone can come with an Expert opinion, about Where IOTA will be in the future.

IOTA supply sufficient - General - IOTA Forum IOTA supply sufficient - General - IOTA Forum
January 06, 2019 11:11 PM I found out about IOTA recently and as a developer I can think of many use cases. Not only transferring value between addresses, it will also allow machines to communicate with each other in a secure and reliable way. I can imagine IOTA being an important tool for human to machine interaction as well. But there is one thing I do not understand: How is it possible to build an entire economy based on IOTA when the total supply is "only" 2,779,530,283,277,761 single units? This question was raised before in this forum and elsewhere, but I could not find a really reasonable answer. 20 billion IOT devices in 2020: average 138,977 IOTA/device (0.139 Mi/device) 200 billion IOT devices in 202x: average 13,898 IOTA/device (0.0139 Mi/device)

Welcome Gideon Samid to the IOTA Foundation IOTA Welcome Gideon Samid to the IOTA Foundation IOTA
January 06, 2019 11:11 PM Prof. Gideon Samid, PhD, PE, who obtained his degrees at the Technion???Israel Institute of Technology where he learned his craft serving the state of Israel, working at the Pentagon, Exxon, NASA, Sac, Presearch etc., is a scientist and an engineer committed to render technology useful and helpful for society at large, all the while mindful of the lurking abuse avenues to be monitored. Believing that innovation is the modern ?religion?, Gideon developed the Universal Theory of Innovation, and applied it to developing mathematical and networking products (e.g. digital money) that serve as a rational foundation for collaboration even among mutually apprehensive partners. Gideon designed BiPSA???knowledge representation that recognizes uncertainty over aggregate binary data; and is a follower of Von Neumann in various applications of randomness as a reference point for quantification of knowledge, protection of privacy, and as the foundation for the new era of cryptography. He feels strongly that randomness is the veil behind which lies the unknown, and hence our interest. Gideon is currently with the department of electrical engineering and computer science at Case Western Reserve University, and is the CTO for BitMint.

Claims and Reclaims: Finalization IOTA Claims and Reclaims: Finalization IOTA
January 06, 2019 11:10 PM During an attack on the IOTA network in October, some funds were found to be at risk of theft, due to users re-using their private keys. The IOTA team took the decision to protect IOTA token holders by taking those funds which were at risk into temporary custody through a snapshot. Once the attack was stopped, the team worked on setting up a process for reclaiming the funds, and sending them back to the rightful owners. This process of receiving and validating the claims has been understandably complicated and sensitive???especially when taking into account the immutability of the IOTA distributed ledger. This effort has required the full attention of the entire core and legal teams of IOTA over the last few weeks. We are pleased to announce that we have finally come to the final step: sending out the reclaimed funds.
