Tangle Visualizer tangle
January 06, 2019 11:10 PM I made the tangle visualizer http://tangle.glumb.de. Just wanted to start this thread for feature requests and improvement suggestions It looks great! Would you know why there seem to be so many ?free floating? transactions? Thanks! Free floating tx attach to an older part of the tangle which, for performance reasons, is not displayed anymore. I am missing some explanation what?s going on when the vizualisation starts from a little centered point in then gets bigger and bigger, so what does it mean what is happening there exactly? This is caused by the layouting algorithm placing the transactions (node of the graph) on the canvas. They start all in one spot. Every tx has a negative gravity assigned and thus repels the other nodes until the graph is untagled.

IOTA Ecosystem Project - Chiota
January 06, 2019 11:09 PM The goal is to create a quantum secure chat app, in which you are the owner of your own data and nobody else! Chiota is an open source IOTA Xamarin chat app. It uses the NTRU Encryption for sending secure messages. The goal is not only to create a quantum secure chat app but also to help others creating Xamarin based IOTA apps. Furthermore, the app should help to establish and test a quantum secure key exchange for IOTA as well as solutions for storing data during snapshots and other IOTA and MAM related issues. We welcome any kind of help or contribution! IOT? Foundation c/o Nextland Strassburgerstra▀e 55 10405 Berlin Germany

GUI Wallet: Phase Two of the Reclaim process IOTA
January 06, 2019 11:09 PM Two weeks ago we released an update to our GUI wallet so that users could begin with the reclaim process. The reclaim process was necessary for all users whose tokens were moved to an IOTA Foundation owned address as part of precautionary measures. Today, we are releasing a new wallet containing the functionality for the second phase of reclaim process. As part of this process, you?ll publish a PGP encrypted message containing your old seed to the tangle which we?ll then use to verify & send you your tokens. If your tokens were moved to the IF as part of one of the following events, you are eligible for recovery:

Paper wallet generator for IOTA - Projects - IOTA Forum
January 06, 2019 11:09 PM I decided to make a paper wallet generator for IOTA! https://arancauchi.github.io/IOTA-Paper-Wallet/ The website can run fully offline, and has only two dependencies to the qrious QR code generator library and the official iota js lib. The site takes a seed, generates a qr code, and creates a nice printable paper wallet. All code is inspectable on the site, and I recommend anyone for peace of mind to go through it, and check that your seed is safe (good practice when you are trusting external sites with your keys) The site does not connect to any IOTA node, and as such is a fully offline solution. If you have any recommendations for features or fixes, let me know

Request error (Attach to tangle) - Technical Discussions - IOTA Forum
January 06, 2019 11:09 PM Sorry guys. Got a Problem. When I?m going to attach my wallet to tangle, i get an error. Where is the mistake? Can anyone help? Hey Reza. What error do you get? Could you post a screenshot? I think we?re going to need more information in order to diagnose the issue. This happened to me a few days ago. I assuming you are using a light node - at least I was. I changed the full node I was connected to (I don?t remember which one was that gave the error), and re-attaching worked fine. So - try another full node (or another couple) and see how that goes. Hi guys, I also have the same problem, I can not connect with my portfolio, would they tell me which node to change? thank you very much

Welcome John Edge to IOTA IOTA
January 06, 2019 11:08 PM John Edge started his career in Capital Markets in the late 90?s with a focus on algorithmic trading, launching Europe?s first direct market access trading business. These new automated trading applications were made possible by the earlier launch of the open sourced protocol FIX. Recognizing a market transformation was just beginning John developed an expertise in the design, build and launch of algorithmic trading businesses and went on to launch new lines of business at UBS, Lehman Brothers and J.P. Morgan. In 2008, following the financial crisis, John cofounded Redkite, a technology company that anticipated the increase in budget and demand for RegTech solutions in financial markets. Redkite solved the problem of supervising electronic trading systems for financial crime and regulatory abuse events. By 2008 over 90% of listed securities trading were electronic, creating data flows that were both high in volume and frequency, rendering most trade surveillance systems unfit for purpose. By launching world?s first enterprise real-time trade surveillance system for capital markets Redkite captured a market segment and led to the acquisition of Redkite by NICE Systems in 2012.

IOTA Ecosystem Project - Fognet
January 06, 2019 11:08 PM A peer-to-peer router and design system enabling decentralized internet access. Powered by the IOTA cryptocurrency. Instead of relying on Internet Service Providers, data on the Fognet is transferred directly from peer-to-peer. Fognet distributes the costs of running a network among all participants ? incentivizing people to participate and increasing availability for all.áThe Fognet router works together with phones and laptops in the area to distribute data with little or no internet access. When a primary node has access to the internet, it can share its connection with others. With no internet connection, devices can share cached and local data.

Where is the IOTA code - Beginners - IOTA Forum
January 06, 2019 11:08 PM I have been following IOTA for the last few months(I missed the ICO :/) and have been looking forward to the release very much, but I can't seem to find any code on their github. There is only a gui client for download. Can anyone point me to the codebase for IOTA, thanks GUI is well documented in gui client download. Server code: you can find in gui client download a directory: src - a code of server. And not as last: jar file can you decompile. Ok, i see the code in the client directory. I just found it odd the github only had a README.md. Thanks Source code for IOTA projects can be found under the iotaledger organization on GitHub:

FAQs | IOTA IOTA Logo
January 06, 2019 11:08 PM Common questions about the IOTA Protocol and Tangle. Most common questions are covered below. Your question not answered? Please contact for support. IOTA is a revolutionary new transaction settlement and data transfer layer for the Internet of Things (IoT). It is based on a new distributed ledger technology, the Tangle, which overcomes the inefficiencies of current Blockchain designs and introduces a new way of reaching consensus in a decentralized peer-to-peer system. Using IOTA, for the first time ever, people and machines can transfer money and/or data without any transaction fees in a trustless, permissionless, and decentralized environment. This means that even nano-payments are possible without the need for a trusted intermediary of any kind.

Welcome Darcy Gabriel Augusto Camargo Cunha to the IOTA Foundation
January 06, 2019 11:07 PM A mathematician is always fascinated by a challenge and with Darcy Camargo, it?s no different. Since his early undergraduate days at University of Campinas (UNICAMP) he was always seeking interesting problems, which led him to awards in international math competitions and a perfect score in all his Ph.D. courses. The early supervision by IOTA Co-founder Professor Serguei Popov awoke in Darcy interest for the randomness, and this led him into a diverse and deep understating of stochastic processes. Near the end of his direct doctorate, he was introduced to the Tangle and the IOTA Foundation, and the cleverness of the model together with the challenging difficulty of dealing with its mathematical properties attracted Darcy?s attention.
