The Tangle: an Illustrated Introduction IOTA The Tangle: an Illustrated Introduction IOTA
January 06, 2019 11:01 PM This is the first in a series of beginner level posts, aimed at those who want to learn more about how IOTA works under the hood. We will loosely follow the whitepaper, but go a bit slower and add some pictures to clarify the basic concepts. In this article, we introduce the tangle, explain what it is, and how we study it mathematically in the IOTA research team. To understand the tangle, we need to learn about what computer scientists call a directed graph. A directed graph is a collection of vertices (squares), which are connected to each other by edges (arrows). This is an example of a directed graph:

January 06, 2019 11:01 PM Hello, i live in Africa and i want to buy IOTA. Where do i buy? I dont have bitcoin, and bitfinex was confusing, they dont allow me to add my card or something. For all those who still don?t know how easy and quickly buy IOTA at the only (for now) market - Bitfinex: Visit the Bitfinex website (http://bit.ly/2jeOM8V) Deposit other cryptos (BTC, ETH, ZEC, LTC, DASH, XRP and so on) that you keep at another crypto market (Bittrex, Coinbase, Poloniex and so) - unfortunately, Bitfinex doesn?t accept fiat currency deposits Exchange the deposited other cryptos into IOTA -having BTC and ETH you can do it directly:

How does one actually "cash out" - General - IOTA Forum How does one actually
January 06, 2019 11:00 PM Never been trading cryptocurrencies before IOTA so I was wondering couple of things. Lets assume IOTA value goes through the roof one day and reaches for example 1k $. People that currently hold more than 100 miotas would be sitting on hundred of thousands of value. Lets say the number is like 200k $. How does one withdraw all this money to a bank account? As far as I know wallets like the Blockchain one are able to transfer up to 10k or something. What would be the complete step by step process from iota wallet to money on a bank account? Thanks alot for replys in advance! As of right now you'd have to use BTC, its one of the only currencies widely exchanged directly for fiat currency. Because its so popular and widely used for payments, theres always a market or service for buying and selling your bitcoins. This is not the case with Alt coins, they aren't currently well known enough or widely traded to have a service in place that will buy them. Obviously, should the MIOTA ever reach such heights this will change, as you can see its already happening with ETH.

January 06, 2019 10:36 PM From Bitcoin?s long-term outlook to new progress at Tron and outreach for Ripple and XRP, here?s a look at some of the stories breaking in the world of crypto. The head of digital assets at one of the world?s largest investment firms is crafting the perfect argument to counter Bitcoin and crypto naysayers this Thanksgiving. Bart Smith of Susquehanna International ? also known as the Crypto King on CNBC ? explains why he?s still bullish on BTC. ?Satoshi Nakamoto designed this algorithm so that the last Bitcoin would be mined in 2140 for a reason. This is supposed to be a long game, right? So there?s a lot of talk today about the Thanksgiving table a year ago. And yes, Bitcoin was at $8,000. But the Thanksgiving before that it was at $750. And the Thanksgiving before that, it was at $350. And in 2010 someone bought two pizzas for 10,000 Bitcoin that today would be worth over $40 million.

Bobby Lee Predicts Bitcoin Bottom, Plus Ripple and XRP, Ethereum, Tron, IOTA, Stellar, Cardano: Crypto News Flash | The Daily Hodl Bobby Lee Predicts Bitcoin Bottom, Plus Ripple and XRP, Ethereum, Tron, IOTA, Stellar, Cardano: Crypto News Flash | The Daily Hodl
January 06, 2019 10:29 PM From a new prediction on when Bitcoin will hit a bottom, to the future of Ripple and XRP, here?s a look at some of the stories breaking in the world of crypto. The co-founder of Hong Kong-based crypto exchange BTCC says Bitcoin could have more room to fall before it hits a bottom. Bobby Lee says he believes Bitcoin may have to reach $3,000 before all investors who lack conviction in their strategies have sold, and people who see a good deal start to buy. We are down >30% from $6,500 levels a few weeks ago. Selling momentum (panic?) has slowed & we?re bottoming out for this round. But I wouldn?t be surprised if $BTC eventually hits $3,000. Most ppl want to wait, to buy in at cheaper prices, but they would risk missing the bottom? https://t.co/uNTYyvH7Ez

Based on Volkswagen?s recent demonstration just this past June at the CEBIT ?18 Expo in Germany, there seems to be a lot in store for us. In its presentation, Volkswagen joined forces with the IoT-focused IOTA blockchain project and vehicle manufacturer to show a proof of concept (PoC) for how the IOTA system can be used for autonomous cars. The PoC demonstrated how IOTA?s Tangle architecture can be used by car manufacturers such as Volkswagen to securely transfer software updates ?over-the-air? as part of Volkswagen?s new ?Connected Car? systems. The demonstration included a panel discussion entitled ?Blockchain in Future Mobility.?

January 06, 2019 10:04 PM From a check on Bitcoin?s pulse to a new milestone for Ethereum, here?s a look at some of the stories breaking in the world of crypto. The death of Bitcoin has been ?greatly exaggerated,? according to a new study from Cambridge University. To reach its conclusion, the second Global Cryptoasset Benchmarking Study compares the current price of Bitcoin to its levels back in January of 2017. ?The speculation of the death of the market and ecosystem has been greatly exaggerated, and so it seems likely that the future expansion plans of industry participants will, at most, be delayed? Statements proclaiming the death of the crypto-asset industry have been made after every global ecosystem bubble. While it is true that the 2017 bubble was the largest in bitcoin?s history, the market capitalization of both bitcoin and the crypto-asset ecosystem still exceeds its January 2017 levels?prior to the start of the bubble.?

January 06, 2019 10:04 PM From Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin?s perspective on Bitcoin?s future to a new partnership at Ripple, here?s a look at some of the stories breaking in the world of crypto. In a new interview on the Blockchain Insider podcast, Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin weighs in on the future of Bitcoin and Ethereum. According to Buterin, Bitcoin?s Proof of Work system is fundamentally flawed compared to Proof of Stake, in part because of the amount of energy needed to verify transactions. ?These two mechanisms are kind of similar because they both use economic resources to gatekeep what level of participation you can have in the network. And that?s something which is necessary because if you don?t have that kind of economic gatekeeping, then one participant can just pretend to be a billion fake participants and then take over the entire network. And Proof of Work does that. Proof of Stake does that, in our opinion, better for a couple of reasons.

Qubic is coming Qubic is coming
January 06, 2019 9:11 PM They have provided with a link to the Qubic website which has a short video giving a brief idea about Qubic. As mentioned in the announcement Qubic has its origins back to 2012 where Come From Beyond (The inventor of Proof of Stake as implemented in NXT and who coded the first version of IOTA) had started working on it. And later numerous people have started working on it in since 2014 in Jinn Labs. Qubic as described by the video is a token that has a theoretically unlimited supply unlimited supply depending on how many people want to mint, spend and pay. (It could potentially solve the stable price problem). While Qubics are the tokens for Q which run on top of Tangle, This would mean that companies, scientists , gamers and everyone could lend or use computational power, that is available everywhere.
