Binance Launches European Fiat to Crypto Exchange Binance Launches European Fiat to Crypto Exchange
Binance, one of the largest players in the cryptocurrency exchange industry, has opened a fiat to crypto exchange based in Jersey, an island near the coast of Normandy with a population of about 105,000. Jersey is well-known as a hub for the financial services industry, although it's interesting to see that Binance's European fiat to crypto gateway is not based in Malta, a country which seemingly welcomed the firm with open arms. Available onthe binance.je domain, Binance Jersey currently offers a conservative selection of crypto assets only BTC and ETH are available at this time. The two coins have pairs with both the pound sterling (GBP) and the euro (EUR). The exchange seems to be geared towards the European market, although it can be used by clients from certain non-European jurisdictions such as South Korea, Brazil, Argentina, South Africa, and more. Notably, the United States, China and Russia are all omitted from the exchange's supported jurisdictions list. This publication was discovered by us on 2019-01-16 22:08:39. Bitcoin as Money Bitcoin as Money
Everyone uses money in order to obtain services and goods they need. Throughout history, a broad spectrum of objects (such as precious metals, livestock, seeds, etc.) have been used as money. In the relatively recent past, however, paper money emerged as the most prevalent and preferred form of money. With the rise of the internet and advancements made in cryptography, we may be witnessing a crucial period in timewhen Bitcoin and various other digital currencies will start presenting a challenge to paper money dominance. Every form of money has to tick three important boxes before it can be widely used in a society. It has to function as a store of value, since it has to retain value long enough to be practical for its users. If you earn 50 dollars today, you have a certain expectation that in a week, or even in a year, its purchasing power remains more or less the same. However, sooner or later, inflation erodes the value of a single unit of money, thus making fiat money a bad option for long-term saving. This entry was discovered by us on 2019-01-15 12:25:53. Monero Addition to Fortnite Merch Store Was Accidental Monero Addition to Fortnite Merch Store Was Accidental
Last week, we wrote about Monero appearing as a payment option in the official merchandise store of Fortnite, an extremely popular battle royale video game developed by Epic Games. Tim Sweeney, the company's founder, recently quelled the excitement, saying that Monero being featured in the Fortnite merch store was an oversight. For a brief time, Monero payments were available through the store thanks to the crypto payments processor GloBee. Actually, Fortnite's brief foray into crypto was accidental. We worked with a partner to open a merchandise store, and somewhere along the way Monero payment was enabled.https://t.co/vzmSCMey3T This post was retrieved by us on 2019-01-08 12:00:20.
