Case-study: Peter Todd acted unethically during the Antbleed crisis. He spread false information, which he refused to retract or correct. To this day, he still hasn't apologized for his unethical behavior.
Instantly share code, notes, and snippets. This is a case study of ethical security disclosure practices in cryptocurrency. We analyze how security experts reacted in disclosing a serious vulnerability in miner hardware to the public, and identify problems with the reaction of several particular experts that we believe violate ethical disclosure norms. It is my hope that by discussing what went wrong in the past, the Bitcoin community can grow into a more secure and robust space that respects appropriate professional ethics in interactions with the public. The incident below occurred on 26 April 2017, when a vulnerability in Bitcoin miner hardware, Antbleed, was discovered. Soon after discovery, some security professionals opportunistically used this vulnerability to advance false and damaging statements about the nature of the attack to the general public, in a manner that was disseminated widely beyond their control. We describe the facts and consequences of the incident below.

The Company that is developing Wasabi is zkSNACKs LTD (twitter | website) If you use Windows there is a video guide. All Wasabi network traffic goes via Tor by default - no need to set up Tor yourself. If you do already have Tor, and it is running, then Wasabi will try to use that first. You can turn off Tor in the Settings. Note that in this case you are still private, except when you coinjoin and when you broacast a transaction. In the first case, the coordinator would learn the links between your inputs and outputs based on your IP address, in the second case, if you happen to broadcast a transaction of yours to a full node that is spying on you, it will learn the link between your transaction and your IP address.

Now that there is a standard for Signing a message using legacy/segwit/bech32 address, can we have an ETA of when we will be able to sign message in ledger live?
GitHub is home to over 31 million developers working together to host and review code, manage projects, and build software together. This document describes a signature format for signing messages with Bitcoin private keys. The specification is intended to describe the standard for signatures of messages that can be signed and verfied between different clients that exist in the field today. Note: that a new signature format has been defined which has a number of advantages over this BIP, but to be backwards compatible with existing implementations this BIP will be useful. See BIP 322 [1] for full details on the new signature scheme.

ICT Software Architecture!
GitHub is home to over 31 million developers working together to host and review code, manage projects, and build software together. This paper documents architectural design choices in regards to the implementation of Ict. It was written with the intent to be used as a reference for completely rewriting the current Java prototype (this repository) from scratch and utilizing the knowledge that was gained during the development of the first Ict iteration. The Iota Controlled agenT (Ict) is an IOTA node. In contrast to IRI, it is a light-weight node designed specifically for the Internet-of-Thing. It provides a basic gossip protocol which can be extended with various functionality through the IOTA eXtending Interface (IXI). This modular design enables the customization of the core node, allowing for all kinds of extensions to be plugged in. Ict nodes are intended to be used for a specific use cases in contrast to the IRI full node that provides general access to the Tangle while the applications are running remotely and connecting through the client libraries. Instead, the applications in Ict - the IXI modules - are working closely with the node and define how it behaves and which transactions it processes.

Global snapshot finished. Compass now running on the Mainnet! IRI 1.7.0 released.

During back-porting PRs into v1.8.24, one was merged incorrectly and resulted disabling 2 CLI flags (--rpccorsdomain and --rpcvhosts). You can see the fix in #19416. If you are not using these flag, you're fine to remain on the v1.8.24 release. To recap our original notes, Geth v1.8.24 v1.8.25 is a small maintenance release aiming to be the final version of the 1.8.x family before rolling out our next major milestone (v1.9.0). As the previous release, v1.8.24 v1.8.25 only back-ports stability fixes. A grab bag of the changes included are:

ICT-Tinder
GitHub is home to over 31 million developers working together to host and review code, manage projects, and build software together. IcTinder is a service maintaining your Ict neighbors. It will add and remove neighbors automatically depending on their reliability to ensure that you are always well-connected. Sign up and worry less. IcTinder should now be started. Give it a few minutes to find your first neighbor. In the Internet-of-Things, auto-peering will be limited to devices nearby. IcTinder is only a temporary measure to simplify the peering process while Ict is running over the cloud-based Internet. Therefore it does not make any sense to spend too much resources on developing a decentralized peering layer which would not make it into the final version. IcTinder can be considered an extension of the previous peer-finder bot with the difference that the whole process is automatized and no manual neighbor adding/removing is required. Additionally, stats reported by neighbors are utilized to improve the network.
