As part of our Who’s Who section, today we take a look at Dr. Craig S. Wright (CSW), a controversial cryptocurrency personality who has claimed to be the real Satoshi Nakamoto.
Craig Steven Wright was born in Australia in 1970 and holds a PhD in theology.
Dr. Wright is often called “FakeToshi” by social media users because his account about being the real Satoshi is often considered with great skepticism and has attained urban legend status.
Craig Wright is famous flor blocking Twitter users.

On October 25 2018 Dr. Wright claimed to be patenting Bitcoin-related technologies:
I have been filing patents for years now, basically every legal application for bitcoin other than money.
Like it, hate it, i don’t care. I have done it.
There is efficency in bitcoin (#BCH)

It seems illogical that the real Satoshi would create something as revolutionary as Bitcoin, not patent it in 2008/2009 and then proceed to file hundreds of patents so many years later. No offense was intended, it seemed to us like a logical thing to ask.
2018 SV Controversy
In November 2018, Craig S Wright got involved in a controversy with the Bitcoin Cash crew:
They can piss off to #Dash
They are NOT adding this to #BCH
This is the ONLY real use case they have and it is not happening!
— Dr Craig S Wright (@ProfFaustus) November 8, 2018
As expected, the BCH folks responded in kind:
The whole BCH community are working together to kick Fake Satoshi out. The resisitence against cult leader proves the inner strength and sophistication of the BCH ecosystem!
Dr. Craig S Wright’s writing style and responses on social media do not seem to match the style of Satoshi Nakamoto’s posts on the WWW during the early development of Bitcoin.
