The Kraken cryptocurrency exchange

Kraken is a San Francisco, California, based cryptocurrency exchange which started operating during 2013. The company grew quickly during that year’s cryptocurrency bull market.

Transparency, external audits and strict compliance with US regulations have marked Kraken’s history since its early days.

Several fiat currencies can be traded on Kraken, including GBP, EUR, USD and CAD.

Since 2014 Kraken provides cryptocurrency data to the Bloomberg financial terminal.

An API allows traders to develop data-driven applications as well as bots.

Kraken runs a successful bug bounty program where they pay rewards for bugs found on their main platform (blog and support sites not included).
